A county in Pennsylvania’s Northern Poconos region sought to support its once flourishing agricultural industry by establishing a retail brand through which farmers could sell their goods within the New York Metropolitan market.

While dairy is the county’s predominant form of agriculture, the rolling farmland also produces poultry, vegetables, fruit, and lumber among other goods. Branding would need to place emphasis on dairy while remaining adaptable to other specialties.

I developed the brand name, tagline, brand brief, and corresponding marketing strategy while coordinating with designers who brought the fledgling brand to life with a modern logo that uses natural colors.

AgroLegacy reflects the generational aspect of the county’s agriculture, as well as the New York Metropolitan Area’s historical association of the Northern Poconos with natural beauty.

This link between rural and urban led to a brand built around a broadened view of community: the symbiosis of cities and the hinterlands that supply them.

Explore this relationship further in AgroLegacy’s brand brief, which can be viewed by clicking the logo above.
